Inspiration Story:

We are called as believers in Jesus to care for widows and orphans.  While many of the kids in DCS custody aren't orphans, for a time, they are separated from their parents, many of them having experienced trauma and neglect.  We have the duty to make sure that we do all we can to care for and support each child's well-being as far as it depends on us.  Isaiah 117 House of Rutherford County does this and so much more.  This verse is not only in their name, but at the forefront of the mission and vision of this organization.  To ensure foster care starts differently for each child in their care, they go above and beyond what society and past tradition would deem necessary.  Everything we do as believers, we do for the glory of God and this is evident through the well though every aspect of Isaiah 117 House.  When you come along side them, you have a small part in being obedient to the calling we all have on our lives:  Care for the orphans/fatherless.
