Cedar Soap Dish Set

Natural soap requires proper care if one wants to get the most out of their soap purchase. Two cedar soap dishes come in this set. Each dish is handmade, has unique markings from the natural wood and measures approximately 3.5 inches square.

Our handmade cedar dish plates have horizontal and vertical slots cut out of the top and perpendicular slots on the bottom to encourage air flow and drainage of water after each use of the bar. A bar which is left to sit in water will "melt" away, leaving you purchasing more soap than necessary.

To use:

Place your rinsed bar on the cedar soap dish once you're done scrubbing and watch as water drips away from the bar, allowing it to dry. The excess water will drain through the holes. The cedar will absorb a large part of the remaining amount of water on the bar.

Care:

Once you have used your bar of soap up, rinse off the dish and retrieve your second dish for use with your next bar. Repeat this process after each bar to allow sufficient dry out time between uses. This will allow the wood enough time to dry out itself to be sure it will be able to absorb water the next time it is used.
